Jake Glaspy, Veterinary Assistant

Jake Glaspy became part of the team at Seaside Home Veterinary Care in September 2021. He is from Rothesay, NB, and have lived there his whole life. He attended high school at Rothesay High, and then moved onto UNB Saint John, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology! He has since worked as a research assistant in many different scenarios, studying a plethora of different animals, even studying narwhal and killer whales in the Canadian Arctic!

Jake plans to take the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program at the Atlantic Veterinary College in Charlottetown, PEI, and believes that Seaside Home Veterinary Care will help provide him with some valuable knowledge and skills to make the transition back to academia! He has always been interested in the veterinary medicine path, and is very excited to start his journey here at Seaside to gain some insight and hands-on experience in the world of veterinary medicine.

Jake has five awesome kitties, named Butterscotch, Trooper, Diva, Leo, and Daisy, all of which are very special in their own ways. Jake feels very fortunate to have such an amazing, supporting family, including my parents, sister, his wonderful grandparents, and his amazing partner. These people have helped him become the person he is today, as they are always motivating him to chase my dreams!

In his spare time, he enjoys going for walks, fishing, hiking, playing golf, spikeball, billiards, and spending time with his friends and family. Jake is super happy to be here at Seaside and we are so grateful to have him as a member of our team!
